
Meet Danya
Danya Hiob is a speech-language pathologist (SLP), who graduated in 2015 from McGill University with a Master’s of Science (Applied) in Speech-Language Pathology. She is registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CSHBC) and College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). Danya is also a certified member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC).
Danya primarily provides services to preteen, teen, and adult clients in British Columbia and Ontario. Her speech therapy sessions are tailored to each client’s needs and interests. She is passionate about helping her clients improve their communication skills in ways that have a meaningful, practical impact on their daily lives.
Her areas of professional interest and focus are: stuttering, voice, post-stroke speech and language challenges, speech clarity & professional communication, social communication (including autism), and accent modification. Danya has completed training for stuttering in the ISTAR Comprehensive Stuttering Program and the Avoidance Reduction Therapy for Stuttering (ARTS®) approach. She also has experience with the Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia (SCA) approach to communication partner training. She has been providing primarily online speech therapy services (via Zoom) since 2020, but is now also offering in-office services in Burnaby, BC.
In her free time, Danya enjoys playing guitar, going for walks in nature, and reading. She is currently located in River Springs, Coquitlam, BC.
